FERN GROTTO FLAT BOTTOM BOAT
Along the Wailua River is a beautiful spot called The Fern Grotto. This is a lava tube that created a cave with ferns actually growing through the ceiling. It is a famous place for weddings and is a spot thousands of visitors make a point to see each year.
You start out at the Wailua Marina boarding your flat bottom boat (anyone can ride these boats). Your captain will share some of the history and legends of the Wailua River which is where the Hawaiian Ali'i (Royalty) had settled.
Once the boat has docked, you take a short walk to the Fern Grotto. Waiting there to demonstrate the near perfect acoustics of the cave are performers who sing while you stand in the cave and enjoy the surroundings. On the boat ride back, enjoy singing and hula with your boat crew.
